Our workplace diversity committee includes several trans and non-binary employees and we've been trying to update our policies and culture, but there's this divide between people who want incremental change and those who think we need to completely overhaul our approach. The meetings have gotten tense because some of us feel like the 'compromise' solutions still center cisgender comfort while the people most affected by these policies are being asked to be patient with a process that isn't working for them.
