When youth sports teams need to address different relationships to time pressure

As youth coaches, we've noticed that some of our 10-12 year olds are completely overwhelmed by game clocks and time pressure while others thrive on it, but we're coaching them all the same way. We want to help each kid develop their own relationship with competitive time pressure but we don't know how to individualize this while maintaining team cohesion.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Coaches recognize that children experience competitive time pressure differently, but struggle to honor individual needs within a team structure.
