When building social technology isolates the builders

My co-founder and I are building an app that's supposed to help people connect but we're both more isolated than ever because we spend all day thinking about human connection as a product feature instead of experiencing it ourselves. We're becoming experts on the mechanics of relationships while our own friendship suffers from neglect.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people are losing their own capacity for the very thing they're trying to help others achieve, trapped in the irony of optimizing human experience from outside human experience.
