When partners have fundamentally different working rhythms

My co-founder and I both work best at different speeds - she likes to move fast and iterate, I like to think things through - and we've been trying to find a rhythm that works for both of us but every project becomes a subtle negotiation about pace and we're both getting frustrated. I don't think either approach is wrong but we can't seem to blend them.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people cannot find harmony because each believes their natural tempo is the right one.
