When family time blocking feels controlling to some members

My family started time blocking our weekends to stop the constant scramble but now my teenager says it feels like prison and my spouse thinks I'm being controlling about family time. We all agreed we wanted more intentional weekends but apparently my version of intentional feels oppressive to everyone else.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The desire for collective intentionality is running up against different relationships to structure and spontaneity within the family system.
