When families struggle with teen privacy and digital identity boundaries

My teenager created accounts I didn't know about and when I found them they said I was violating their privacy by even looking, but some of the content they're sharing makes me worried about their future. We agreed they could have more independence online but now I don't know where the line is between keeping them safe and respecting their growing autonomy.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Parent and child are negotiating autonomy in a space where consequences feel both immediate and permanent.
