Our household has three different religious traditions and we keep trying to create one morning routine that works for everyone but my Jewish prayers, my partner's Islamic fajr, and my teenager's secular mindfulness practice all need different timings and spaces and we're all just awkwardly avoiding each other.
More people experience this than they realize.
The attempt to harmonize sacred practices is creating sacred isolation instead of sacred community.
