When close friends from different faiths struggle to share spiritual intimacy

My closest friend converted to Islam five years ago and I've watched her spiritual life become so beautiful and centered, but I was raised Catholic and when we talk about love and service and what it means to love unconditionally, I sometimes feel defensive about my own tradition or like I'm not spiritual enough. We both care so much about living with open hearts but I think we're both walking on eggshells.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two friends are learning that unconditional love across traditions requires releasing the subtle competition and defensiveness that can arise even between people who genuinely honor each other's paths.
