When couples going through menopause struggle to support each other through physical changes

My girlfriend and I are both dealing with menopause and the ways our bodies are changing feel overwhelming — hot flashes, sleep disruption, shifts in desire — and we're taking it out on each other instead of supporting each other through it. We love each other but we're both so uncomfortable in our own skin that we keep snapping at each other about things that aren't really about dishes or money.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Shared physical transitions can create distance when partners cannot find grace for their own discomfort, let alone each other's.
