When couples grieve major losses at the same time

My partner and I both lost our fathers within six months of each other and we keep trying to comfort each other but we're grieving so differently that sometimes our love feels like it's drowning in all this sadness. We'll be holding each other and crying and I can't tell if we're closer than we've ever been or further apart.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Love becomes both refuge and burden when two people are drowning in grief together.
