When creative friends struggle with authenticity as their work becomes public

My friend group started this podcast together because we love arguing about movies, but now that we have an audience, some of us perform our disagreements more and others have gotten more careful about expressing controversial opinions. The conversations that used to be natural and passionate now feel slightly choreographed, and I miss the rawness but I also don't want to go backwards professionally.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

An audience changes the nature of creative expression in ways that can feel like evolution to some collaborators and betrayal to others.
