When long-term critique partners outgrow their writing partnership

My long-time critique partner and I have grown in different directions as writers—they're moving toward genre fiction while I'm getting more literary—and our feedback sessions don't feel useful anymore because we're essentially writing for different audiences. We have years of history and trust but I'm not sure we can help each other anymore, and neither of us knows how to address that without it feeling like rejection.
