When writing partners discover incompatible aesthetic visions

My writing partner and I started a literary magazine together but we have completely different ideas about what constitutes good writing and every submission we review turns into a philosophical argument. We respect each other's taste but we're realizing we might be fundamentally incompatible as editorial partners, and neither of us wants to admit the project might not work.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Mutual respect cannot bridge the gap when core artistic values diverge in ways that make shared decisions impossible.
