How to address unequal participation in creative teams

Our design collective has been working together for three years and we've noticed that whenever we present to clients, the same two people always end up speaking while the rest of us fade into the background. We've never explicitly talked about it but there's this growing tension between those who naturally take up space and those who step back, and it's affecting both our group dynamic and the quality of our collaborative work.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The unexamined distribution of voice within a group creates invisible hierarchies that undermine true collaboration.
