When creative collectives outgrow their signature style

Our design collective has been working together for two years and we've developed this reputation for a certain aesthetic, but I'm starting to feel creatively claustrophobic and I can tell at least one other person is too. None of us wants to be the one to suggest we might be limiting ourselves, but every project feels like a variation on the same thing.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A group's established identity has become a cage, but no one wants to risk the security of what works.
