Our theater collective has been devising this piece about gentrification for eight months and three of us live in the neighborhood we're writing about while two of us moved here recently for cheaper rent. Nobody wants to say that we might be part of the problem we're critiquing, but it's affecting every creative choice we make and we keep talking around it instead of through it.
