When family nature trips become over-scheduled bonding marathons

My family has started planning these elaborate group camping trips where every moment is scheduled and we're always supposed to be bonding, but what I actually miss is the old days when we'd all just be quietly doing our own things in the same beautiful place. My siblings and I can't figure out how to tell our parents that we need less forced togetherness and more space to just exist in nature without it sounding like rejection.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The family has confused being together with doing everything together, forgetting that shared silence can be more intimate than constant interaction.
