When spiritual groups lose their sense of wonder together

Our astronomy group meets monthly to observe and reflect on what we see as spiritual practice, but lately it feels like we're all just going through the motions and nobody wants to admit that the magic isn't happening anymore. We still show up and look through telescopes and say the right things about wonder and connection, but there's this heaviness between us like we're all pretending to have experiences we're not actually having.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Collective spiritual bypassing occurs when groups maintain the forms of practice while abandoning authentic engagement.
