When social groups lose their original purpose and become aimless venting sessions

Our book club stopped reading books six months ago and now we just drink wine and complain about work and relationships. It's therapeutic but we all miss having something to actually discuss together, some shared exploration that isn't just venting. We've become a support group that forgot what we're supposed to be supporting each other toward.
