When ADHD parents and children struggle to support each other effectively

My daughter and I both have ADHD and we've been trying to help each other with organizational systems but it feels like we're just two people drowning trying to save each other. She gets frustrated when I forget things and I get overwhelmed when she's chaotic, and neither of us knows how to break out of this cycle where we're supposed to understand each other but somehow make everything worse.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two neurodivergent family members are caught in a pattern where their shared challenges create friction rather than mutual understanding.
