When co-facilitators have conflicting approaches to group emotional dynamics

My husband and I facilitate a men's group together and we're realizing we handle emotional intensity completely differently — when someone breaks down, I want to slow down and create space while he wants to keep things moving and 'productive.' The group is picking up on our tension and I think it's affecting the container we're trying to hold.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two leaders are discovering that their different responses to vulnerability may be undermining the very safety they seek to create.
