When twice-exceptional partners struggle to support each other's neurodivergent needs

My partner and I are both twice-exceptional — he's got ADHD and is brilliant with systems, I have autism and excel at pattern recognition — but we keep getting stuck in this loop where we're either overstimulating each other during our hyperfocus periods or we're both completely dysregulated at the same time and can't figure out how to support each other. We love that we 'get' each other's neurodivergence but sometimes it feels like we amplify each other's challenges instead of balancing them.
