When couples have different musical training backgrounds and can't bridge the gap

My partner and I both play piano but we learned completely different approaches - she's classically trained and I'm self-taught through jazz - and when we try to teach each other or even just play together, we end up frustrated because what feels natural to each of us makes no sense to the other. We love making music together in theory but in practice we keep hitting this wall where our musical languages don't translate.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people are discovering that their different learning histories create invisible barriers to shared musical growth.
