When family members share eating disorder recovery

My teenage daughter and I are both trying to recover from an eating disorder — hers is restrictive, mine was binge eating twenty years ago — and family dinners have become this minefield where we're both hyperaware of each other's every bite and comment. We want to heal together but we keep accidentally sabotaging each other's recovery.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people with different expressions of the same wound are discovering that proximity can become either medicine or poison.
