When parent and teen both struggle with mental health

My teenage daughter and I both have depression and we're in therapy separately but living together day-to-day feels like we're drowning each other — when she's having a bad day it pulls me under and when I'm struggling I can see her trying to take care of me which makes everything worse.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people sharing the same condition can become trapped in cycles of mutual triggering rather than mutual support.
