My writing group has been meeting for two years and we've developed real friendships, but the quality of feedback has gotten softer and less useful because nobody wants to hurt anyone's feelings. We all wanted supportive community but I think our care for each other is actually preventing us from helping each other grow, and I don't know how to bring back honest critique without damaging the relationships.
