When acupuncture students clash over integrating Western and TCM emotional frameworks

Our acupuncture training cohort has this ongoing debate about whether Western therapy concepts can coexist with TCM emotional-organ theory, and it's splitting our group down the middle. Half of us think you need to choose one framework or the other, and half think they can be integrated, but we can't seem to have a productive conversation about it without people getting defensive about their preferred approach.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A learning community is fracturing over philosophical differences about emotional healing modalities, unable to hold the complexity that both approaches might offer valid but different perspectives.
