Our book club started as a fun social thing but has evolved into deep personal sharing and now when conflicts arise between members outside the group, it affects our ability to discuss books and I don't know if we should lean into the intimacy or try to return to lighter ground.
More people experience this than they realize.
A group has organically developed beyond its original purpose and must now navigate the complexities of deeper connection without having consciously chosen or prepared for that level of intimacy.
