When grief support groups can't align on structure versus spontaneity

Our friend group started a book club to process grief together after losing someone close to all of us, but half the group wants to stick to assigned readings and the other half just wants to talk. We're all grieving but we can't seem to create space that works for everyone's process.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A group united by loss becomes fragmented by different needs for containment versus expression in their healing process.
