How to navigate power dynamics when groups use the Feynman technique

Our study group decided to use the Feynman technique for preparing for medical boards, but two people always dominate the explaining while the rest of us just listen, and when someone struggles to explain clearly the group gets uncomfortable and rushes to help instead of letting them work through it. The technique is supposed to reveal what we don't understand, but we're avoiding that discomfort as a group.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Collective learning through explanation requires the group to tolerate not-knowing together, which triggers social hierarchies and rescue patterns.
