When CBT training groups blur the line between practice and therapy

Our therapy training cohort started practicing CBT techniques on each other as part of our supervision group, but it's gotten weird - some people are using it as free therapy for real issues, others are staying too surface level, and I can't tell if we're learning or just creating messy boundaries that are affecting our friendships outside the program.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A learning community is struggling to maintain the distinction between skill practice and actual therapeutic work, creating relational confusion.
