Three of us in our friend group have bipolar disorder and we started meeting monthly to check in and support each other, but lately our meetings either turn into everyone trying to fix each other or someone having a crisis that derails everything. We want this to work because we really understand each other in ways our other friends don't, but we're not sure how to create boundaries that actually help instead of just shutting each other out.
