My best friend and I both grew up as third culture kids and we've always bonded over feeling like we don't fully belong anywhere, but now she's moving back to her 'home' country and talking about finally finding where she belongs and I feel like she's abandoning the thing that made us understand each other. I'm happy for her but also feel like I'm losing the one person who really got what it's like to live between worlds.
