Scenario

When siblings inherit a family business and disagree on its future direction

My brother and I inherited our grandfather's architectural firm and we both want to honor what he built, but I think we need to modernize everything and take on sustainable projects while he wants to keep doing the same high-end residential work that made the firm's reputation. We're supposed to be partners but every client meeting feels like we're pulling in opposite directions and I'm worried we're going to destroy what took three generations to build.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people are trying to steward a shared inheritance while having fundamentally different visions of what honoring that legacy means.
