Scenario

When siblings live far apart and caregiving responsibilities become unequal

My mom is getting older and needs more help but my sister lives closer and has been doing most of it while I visit when I can from across the country. We haven't talked about how unsustainable this is or what fair actually looks like when our lives are so different, and I can feel resentment building on both sides even though we both love Mom.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Distance and different circumstances are creating an imbalance that silence is turning into resentment.
