When siblings parent differently and can't discuss their conflicting philosophies

My sister and I both have young kids and we grew up with parents who were very hands-off, and now we're parenting completely differently but we never talk about it directly. I can tell she thinks I'm too involved with my kids and I think she's repeating our parents' distance, but we just make polite comments about 'different parenting styles' while watching each other with judgment.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Childhood experiences are driving opposing parenting approaches that create unspoken judgment and distance between siblings who need to examine their inherited assumptions.
