When parents disagree on how to help a struggling child

My teenage daughter has been cutting herself and my husband thinks we should handle it one way and I think we should handle it another way and we're so focused on being right that we've stopped being able to talk to each other or to her. Every conversation about it becomes a fight about our different approaches to parenting and I can see her watching us fall apart while she's already falling apart.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people who both desperately want to help their child are being torn apart by different ideas about what help looks like.
