When your special needs support community becomes toxic

Our ADHD support group used to feel like a lifeline but now it's become this weird competition about whose kid is doing better and whose interventions are working, and my partner and I both dread going even though we desperately need the connection. We don't know if we should try to address it or just find a new community.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Parents are grappling with how to preserve necessary community connection when the very space meant to support them has become a source of judgment and comparison.
