When community projects reveal conflicting values about growth and change

Our community garden committee can't agree on whether to expand into the adjacent lot and it's revealing all these different values about growth versus sustainability that we never realized we had. The meetings have gotten tense and I'm starting to dread them even though I still believe in what we're doing.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A group united by shared purpose is discovering that their individual visions of flourishing don't naturally align, and the work of reconciling these differences is testing their commitment to collective decision-making.
