Our extended family always gathers for the holidays but my cousin came out as trans last year and half the family is supportive and half is not and now all our gatherings feel like minefields where everyone is performing normalcy while the tension builds. We all love each other but we have no idea how to navigate this without someone getting hurt or excluded.
