When community groups become dominated by a few voices

Our neighborhood book club started as a way to build community but it's turned into the same four people dominating every conversation while the rest of us sit there politely and now half the original members have stopped coming. We all still want connection but nobody knows how to address what's happening without seeming dramatic.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A group formed around shared values is slowly fracturing because the informal power dynamics have never been acknowledged or addressed.
