Our neighborhood book club started as this beautiful thing where we'd discuss literature and life, but over the past year it's become this place where people just complain about their kids and husbands and nobody reads the books anymore. Some of us want to say something but we don't want to hurt feelings.
More people experience this than they realize.
A shared space has drifted from its intention, and the group is stuck between honoring what it was meant to be and accepting what it has become.
