Scenario

When community groups stay surface-level despite wanting deeper connection

Our neighborhood group started because we all wanted more connection but now when we get together everyone just talks about safe topics like kids' schedules and local politics and nobody ever shares anything real about their lives. We're all lonely but we're somehow being lonely together and I don't know how to shift the dynamic without making people uncomfortable.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The desire for genuine connection often gets trapped behind social scripts that keep everyone safely distant.
