Our neighborhood group started because we all wanted more connection but now when we get together everyone just talks about safe topics like kids' schedules and local politics and nobody ever shares anything real about their lives. We're all lonely but we're somehow being lonely together and I don't know how to shift the dynamic without making people uncomfortable.
