Our neighborhood organizing group started after the last big flood and we've spent five years building real political power, but now some of the founders want to formalize into a nonprofit while others think that will kill our grassroots energy. We're all committed to the work continuing, but we can't agree on what structure will actually sustain it beyond our current leadership.
