When family members choose different spiritual paths

My adult children have completely different relationships with the faith tradition we raised them in - one is orthodox, one is secular, one is exploring other paths - and when we're all together the unspoken judgments and disappointments make every gathering tense. We love each other deeply but can't seem to talk about what matters most to any of us without someone feeling attacked or dismissed.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A family is learning that love alone cannot bridge the gap when people they've raised develop fundamentally different relationships with the sacred.
