When spiritual partnerships outgrow their original form

My college roommate and I promised to be each other's spiritual accountability partners but now we're in our thirties and our paths look nothing like what we thought they would and neither of us knows how to release the other from promises that no longer fit. We meet every month and pretend we're still the people who made those vows.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Sacred promises made by younger selves can become prisons for the people we've become, and love must learn to let go of its own expectations.
