My oldest friend and I used to have this incredible spiritual connection and we'd spend hours talking about meaning and purpose, but since she got married to someone really religious she's become certain about things in a way that makes me feel like our conversations have become her trying to save me. I miss what we had but I don't know if it's still there underneath this new dynamic.
