When couples discover their spiritual paths are incompatible

My partner and I both left organized religion years ago and call ourselves 'spiritual but not religious' but we're realizing we mean completely different things by that and it's creating this weird distance between us where we can't share what feels most sacred. They're all about meditation and crystals and I'm more drawn to nature and philosophy and neither of us knows how to honor both paths without feeling like we're just making it all up as we go.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people are discovering that rejecting organized religion doesn't automatically create shared meaning, and their different approaches to the sacred are isolating them from each other.
