Scenario

When siblings process religious trauma differently

My sister and I both lost our faith in the church we grew up in but she's become bitter about it in a way that makes family gatherings tense because she can't stop making cutting remarks about our parents' beliefs. I understand her anger but I've found peace with it and I don't know how to support her without enabling the toxicity she's bringing to our family.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Shared wounds from the same source can lead us down divergent paths of healing that threaten the very relationships we most need for recovery.
