When study groups split over practicing Gnostic spirituality versus academic exploration

My study group has been meeting for months exploring Gnostic texts and now half of us want to start practicing actual rituals while the other half thinks we're crossing a dangerous line from academic interest into something that could undermine our existing faith commitments. We can't seem to have this conversation without people getting defensive or feeling judged for where they want to draw boundaries.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A learning community faces the tension between intellectual curiosity and spiritual practice when ancient alternatives to orthodox Christianity move from theory to lived experience.
